In September 2019 Taste of Plenty was purchased by Mount Classic Tours Limited, who have been providing high quality passenger transport and shore excursions in Tauranga since 2001. Taste of Plenty brings a new area of operation and expertise to the group.

Taste of Plenty was started in 2014 by the original owners Karen and Susanna, born out of a desire to share New Zealand's reputation as an exciting food destination. Here in the Bay of Plenty the unique climate allows it to be the largest producer of avocados and kiwifruit in New Zealand, as well as being a significant dairy producing area. On top of this, the region is blessed with a bounty of wonderful and unique seafood like red snapper, kowhai, trevally, hoki and green lipped mussels. Great beverage producers also call this place home - everything from awesome coffee (locally roasted) to exotic juices, to boutique beers & ciders, wine and liqueurs and you a chance to match these with the amazing local foods.
